Graduate Engineer Award 2014

THE 2014 RTSA GRADUATE ENGINEER AWARD HAS BEEN MADE TO TWO RECIPIENTS; MS. ROCHELLE BOSWORTH AND MR. MICHAEL DONALD.

Ms. Rochelle Bosworth is a Civil Engineer with GHD Pty. Ltd. in Brisbane. She is a Bachelor of Civil Engineering and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Queensland and, since joining GHD in January 2010, she has worked on a number of civil infrastructure asset management projects, the most significant of which has been the Goonyella System Network Strategic Asset Management Plan for Aurizon. Ms. Bosworth is a Chartered Member of Engineers Australia and, for GHD, she has assisted with the mentoring of students working on project placements and vocational experience.

Mr. Michael Donald is a Consultant with Interfleet Pty. Ltd. in Brisbane who he joined in 2011 following his graduation from the University of Southern Queensland with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree. Since joining Interfleet, Mr. Donald has specialised in rolling stock engineering and, early in his career, he enjoyed a placement with the Safety Management and Assurance Team at the Interfleet offices in Derby, UK. More recently, he has acted as an on-site project engineer for the construction of iron ore wagons by a Chinese manufacturer for a major mining company in Australia. He presented a paper at the CORE2012 Conference. Mr. Donald is a Graduate Member of Engineers Australia and he is working towards chartered status.
