EA Event (Webinar) – Infrastructure thought leaders series – Going Digital in Rail

November 18, 2020 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm AEDT

Population growth, rapid urbanisation, and the need to address global warming all cement rail’s position as Australia’s fastest-growing transportation sector.

We are constantly challenged to find new and innovative ways to manage capacity and improve reliability, in the face of tighter budgets and shorter deadlines. Digital technology, including the utilisation of digital twins to optimise performance across asset lifecycles, hold the key to future success.

Going digital in rail enables better collaboration through digital workflows between dispersed teams.

Join us Wednesday, 18th November and hear from industry experts who will showcase practical examples of how advancing BIM through digital twins is transforming the industry. They will explore how digital workflows can facilitate cost savings, reduced construction risk, create more efficient routine inspections, and improved asset performance across the rail network.

Key Themes

  • Key trends and challenges faced in the rail and transit industry
  • Strategies for integrated, multidisciplinary planning, design and analysis of rail and transit infrastructure
  • How digital twins can drive design, enable construction, and improve performance of rail infrastructure
  • Local case studies
