Overview

This event is one of the premier occasions on the Queensland Rail Industry’s calendar and provides an excellent opportunity for networking across all sectors and disciplines. After record attendance in 2023, where there was a delightfully varied mix of young and seasoned professionals, we’re expecting interest this year to be strong. Guests will be treated to a keynote speech from Warren McReight, Queensland Rail’s Group Executive Major Projects as part of the night’s proceedings, followed by the fixture that is the Trivia Extravaganza.

About the speaker

Warren graduated from University a long time ago and started his career with the Department of Main Roads in Cloncurry. He has worked both in government and private sector roles and joined Queensland Rail in early December 2018.

His current role is the Program Director for the Major Projects Engineering and Rail Safety Group and he has accountability for the Cross River Rail Program, Logan to Gold Coast Faster Rail Program, Beerburrum to Nambour Project and the three new Gold Coast Stations.

In his spare time (not a lot), he plays golf badly, relaxes at his Sunshine Coast property or takes out his frustrations playing drums. Warren has been happily married for over 35 years and has three adult children.
