Teeshal Bal – Engineering Interface Manager with Western Program Alliance, Metro Trains Melbourne

There is doing Rail Systems Safety Assurance and then there is doing it well.  Teeshal Bal will discuss Western Program Alliance’s problem solving event and bringing together LXRP-wide system assurance experts to share learnings.  These events were catalysts simplifying and streamlining processes and building System Safety Assurance capabilities across all LXRP organisations.

 

Christopher Pynn – Digital Engineering Lead with North Eastern Program Alliance and Regional (VIC and SA) Digital Engineering Lead at Laing O’Rourke

Digital engineering and parametric modelling is gaining traction in transport infrastructure design and construction.  Christopher Pynn will demonstrate how North Eastern Program Alliance use parametric modelling to provide rapid data for options assessment and development of level crossings.

 

Paul Draper – Engineering Manager for Standards and leading Discipline Champions and Communities of Practice, Level Crossing Removal Project

LXRP’s Communities of Practice harness the knowledge of 800 members to improve collaboration, problem solving, knowledge building and transfer across industry.  These members are spread across 19 different Communities of Practices from systems assurance to structures and electrical. Paul Draper will discuss what they are, how they work and provide direct examples of the substantial benefits they bring to the program.
