DESCRIPTION:PLR artists impression from the NSW gov website\n  \nJoin the RTSA NSW/ACT Chapter for a site tour of the Parramatta Light Rail Depot on Friday 3rd May 2024. \nMore event information and registration details coming soon – RTSA NSW/ACT Chapter members will receive an email soon! \nEvent Program\nFriday 3rd May 2024 (timings TBC) \nParramatta Light Rail Depot\, 4 Grand Ave\, Camellia NSW \nAfter successful registration\, instructions on when and where to meet and assemble on site shall be issued. \nOverview\nParramatta Light Rail is one of the NSW Government’s major infrastructure projects being delivered to serve a growing Sydney. Construction of the Stage 1 portion is now complete on all 16 light rail stops along the 12 km alignment from Westmead to Carlingford. Testing and commissioning of light rail vehicles is underway and the depot facility is nearing completion\, with opening of the line on target within 2024. \nCAF Turnkey & Engineering (T&E) has been working on the project since 2019 as part of the Great River City Rail Light Consortium\, made up of CAF Rail Australia and Transdev Australasia. CAF have provided the RTSA with the opportunity to tour the near complete depot facility. \nImportant Information\nThis event shall be limited to 20 attendees due to site constraints. \nAttendees must bring their own PPE: \n\nSafety boots\nOrange Hi-Vis\nLong sleeve shirt\nLong pants\nHard hat\nSafety glasses\n\n
