SUMMARY:NSW Chapter Event: RTSA student rail industry networking night
DESCRIPTION:Overview\nThe Railway Technical Society of Australasia (RTSA) NSW/ACT Chapter is holding a networking night for students to meet with representatives from the rail industry. With a large pipeline of projects\, the Australian rail industry is in need of engineers to help deliver and maintain rail networks. This event will provide an opportunity to engage with professionals to learn more about the rail industry as well as the career pathways in rail. \nThe event will comprise of short sessions with various subject matter experts from the rail industry as well as introductions to graduate programs at our partnering organisations. \nOur partnering organisations include Mott MacDonald\, Transport for NSW and Alstom. \n \nRefreshments and drinks will also be provided. \nLearning outcomes\nAt this free event you will learn: \n\nThe various disciplines of rail.\nPotential career pathways into rail.\n\nEvent program\nRTSA Student Rail Industry Night Flyer \n5:30pm AEDT: Registrations open\n6:00pm AEDT: Presentation commences with Q&A session\n7:00pm AEDT: Presentation concludes and networking\n8:00pm AEDT: Event concludes \nAbout the speaker\nOliver Lake MIEAust CPEng NER\, NSW/ACT Chapter Chair for the RTSA \nOliver is a rail and rolling stock engineer currently employed at Transport for New South Wales. He has been involved in the rail industry for eight years and has experience of cross disciplinary involvement in all stages of the asset lifecycle in rolling stock and ETCS.
