DESCRIPTION:Please join us for the Rail Technical Society Australasia’s NZ first webinar of 2022\, presented by Andy Lightowler\, the webinar will take place on Zoom at 12:30-1:15pm NZDT on Friday 11th February. \nRegister here. \nAbout the event\nAndy will share an overview of the opportunities and challenges associated with delivering rail infrastructure projects in a way which is more closely aligned with rail customer requirements. He will draw on his experience of planning rail passenger services in the UK for ScotRail in collaboration with Network Rail (the UK rail infrastructure authority) and with other passenger and freight rail operators. The presentation will outline some of the different approaches which were used to drive better outcomes\, and consider their applicability to the New Zealand rail industry as infrastructure works increase and customer expectations become increasingly challenging to meet. \nSpeaker\nAndy Lightowler is a Technical Director in Beca’s Transport Advisory team\,  based in the Auckland office.
