DESCRIPTION:Overview\nRailway Technical Society of Australasia invite you to join this webinar presented by Chrissy Farago discussing ‘Electric Shunt Vehicles’. Chrissy will share the innovation\, opportunities and challenges around procuring the Electric Shunt Vehicles and the cultural change that KiwiRail needs to accommodate innovation and technology. \nClick here to register on the Engineering New Zealand website! \nLearning outcomes\nChrissy will draw on her experience of multi-million-dollar procurements and how these procurements affect our workforce\, communities and environment.\nShe will outline the problem statement that KiwiRail tried to solve with ESVs\, the machine’s capability\, benefits that these machines bring to the industry and especially to KiwiRail’s long term strategic goals. \nThe presentation will be wrapped up with some lessons learnt during these procurements and how the industry can support to help bring innovation to Aotearoa shores. \nEvent program\n\n12:30-1:30 pm (NZDT)\nTuesday 21st May\nOnline\n\nSpeaker\nChrissy Farago\nProgramme Director for Rolling Stock Procurement within KiwiRail’s Capital Projects and Asset Development group. \nChrissy joined KiwiRail in 2018 after a successful career within the Australian Railway Industry. She is accountable for leading the procurement and project delivery of rolling stock for KiwiRail’s Operations group utilising the Government’s major investment in Rail to enable the replacement of aging fleet. She has a team of Procurement Managers and Project Managers who manage the new asset procurement projects and deliver the replacements into service.
