Shou exemplifies the next generation of a rail professional – passionate, dedicated and committed to both his own development and the success of others in the industry. With less than ten years of experience, he has already made a significant impact through his active involvement in mentoring, professional development and industry engagement.

From May 2023 to May 2025, Shou served as Lead Reviewer on Queensland Rail’s ETCS enablement, helping update policies, standards and training so the organisation could operate ETCS. This collaboration resulted in more than 30 standards being updated to include ETCS-specific information and supported a smooth transition to the new system.

Since March 2023, Shou has mentored Queensland Rail graduates in the Major Projects Integration team, providing guidance on complex issues and fostering a supportive environment for professional growth.
