MR. PETER MUTTON IS THE WINNER OF THE RTSA INDIVIDUAL AWARD FOR 2004 IN RECOGNITION OF HIS SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTION TOWARDS THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE RAILWAY INDUSTRY THROUGH RESEARCH WORK AND PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATION BOTH IN AUSTRALIA AND OVERSEAS.
Mr. Mutton was one of the founding members of the world-renowned railway research facility, the BHP-Melbourne Research Laboratories and, for approximately 30 years, has played a key role in providing technical leadership at that facility. Since January 2000, he has been Associate Director of the Institution of Railway Technology at Monash University, where he has made a major contribution towards the elevation of the Institution’s position as a recognized world-leader in railway technology.
