MR. DAVID FERRIS HAS BEEN AWARDED THE RTSA INDIVIDUAL AWARD FOR 2006, WHICH IS PRESENTED IN RECOGNITION OF THE OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT OF AN INDIVIDUAL IN THE RAILWAY INDUSTRY.
In a career that has spanned some 40 years, Mr. Ferris has distinguished himself in the field of rolling stock engineering both in the Victorian public sector and, in private industry, as a contractor and a consultant. He has played a very active role in the affairs of the ROA and the RTSA and, latterly, he has been involved with the Rail CRC in the development and presentation of the CRC/UoW postgraduate course in Rollingstock Engineering. A variety of railway technical papers and publications owe their origins to Mr. Ferris.
