Thesis: Experimental Investigation on composite steel and precast reinforced concrete transoms for the Sydney Harbour Bridge under impact loading

Place of Study: Western Sydney University

Andrew Talos’ thesis included an extensive literature review and reported on detailed experimentation on failure modes under derailment loading scenarios and found that composite steel and precast concrete transoms are a viable replacement for the current timber transoms.
