RTSA Rail Scholarship Award 2016-17
THE RECIPIENT OF THE 2016-17 RTSA RAIL SCHOLARSHIP IS MS. ESTHER WARREN
Ms. Esther Warren has a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Honours) from Canterbury University and has 10 years of engineering experience working across various industries including rail, water and road in Victoria, Queensland and New Zealand.
Esther has spent the majority of her career working in construction, developing and delivering large civil infrastructure projects including Regional Rail Link and Level Crossing Removals for John Holland Group. She faced many challenges delivering these projects including the challenge of managing workers on site and in the office in metropolitan and rural locations. Over the past year, she has worked for Metro Trains Melbourne on the development of signalling, operational control systems, customer experience, track, and stations projects.
Esther was awarded 2015 RTSA Young Railway Engineer Award, as well as the 2014 Australasian Railway Industry Award for the Young Rail Engineer category. She also actively participates as a volunteer for Engineers Australia & the RTSA.
Esther will be completing a Graduate Diploma of Business Administration at Melbourne Business School as part of this award
