Overview

The Light River Rail Bridge, located at 54.544km on the Adelaide to Crystal Brook track, is being replaced due to its age and approaching end-of-service life. The bridge, constructed around 1915, is being replaced with a new bridge designed for 300LA loading and a 100-year lifespan, with an appropriate maintenance plan. Construction is underway, with the bridge being trial-fitted before painting.
