Derek Jannings will provide an overview of the Digital Engineering Programme and the legacy of change it is striving to achieve through KiwiRail’s current watershed period of capital investment. He will draw on real world examples to dive deeper into why KiwiRail has invested in digital engineering and value of thinking differently about the information we produce on projects. The presentation will outline things that have worked and things that haven’t and provide greater insight into what KiwiRail is looking to achieve through the Digital Engineering Programme and Framework.

Derek is the Programme Director for Digital Engineering in KiwiRail’s Capital Projects Team, based in the Auckland office. Derek has a diverse background which includes working on infrastructure projects both locally and overseas in client, consultant, and contractor roles.
