Join the RTSA NZ Chapter as we kick off 2024’s events with a presentation on the redevelopment of the historic Hillside workshops followed by a tour of the site and a BBQ.

You are invited to come behind the fence on Hillside Rd and see for yourself what has been happening on the site for the last 2.5 years.

Come and hear about the heritage of Hillside Workshops and the importance of the facility to Dunedin, as well as the redevelopment project being undertaken from the KiwiRail and Calder Stewart perspectives.

You will also be treated to a tour of the site, which will take you through the new office building, wagon assembly workshop, new yard layout and more.

Following the site tour we will have a BBQ to finish up the event.

This event is capped at 50 registrants so get in quick to secure your place.

Entry to the site will be via the southern most driveway on Hillside Rd for the facility before Otago Tyres and opposite Wesley St. Look out for the Engineering New Zealand Banner and then follow the arrows to and through the office building.
