About the event

Many rail owners and operators around the world have embraced digitalisation and automation across their networks. There are valuable lessons to be taken from both green- and brown-field modernization projects. Our panel have real hands-on experience, gained both internationally and in ANZ, across the development and implementation of digital train control and signalling systems. With integration the core theme, our team will share insights and describe how these may be used to anticipate and address key delivery challenges across the lifecycle – from business case to full operational integration.

Speakers

Pierre-Henri Marillet is SYSTRA’s Lead Transport Engineer, his career has spanned 3 continents and in the early 2000’s he was Testing and Commissioning manager for the first ETCS L1 commissioning worldwide. Since moving to Australia in 2011, he has been heavily involved in the development of solutions for ATP, ATCS and Digital Systems in Sydney, and led many technical elements of ETCS Level 1 and 2 developments across the Brisbane/South East Queensland network.

Kate Moncrieff is SYSTRA’s Director of Human Factors, she held senior roles across multiple high profile projects in the UK – including Thameslink where she was Program Assurance Manager (HF) and Integration Manager for the Traffic Management and High Capacity Infrastructure elements (including ETCS and ATO). She too is now involved in key projects across ANZ, including the Brisbane/South East Queensland network ETCS level 2 rollout with Hitachi – as part of Cross River Rail.
