About the speakers
Matthew Allen, Overhead Wiring Project Manager, Acciona
Matthew has held management positions in electrification and plant maintenance and construction contracts for the past 15 years and has been working in the rail E&P industry since 1989. He has a varied and extensive knowledge and understanding of overhead line traction supply equipment, having worked with UK design, European High-speed design, and Australian 750DC equipment for both installation and maintenance activities during the past 27 years.
Matthew prides himself on his good client and stakeholder relationships combined with his organisational and people management skills and can combine technical expertise with the safety, managerial and operational factors that affect all maintenance decisions.
Nathan Short, Site Engineer, Acciona
Nathan is a capable Site Engineer who has worked on multiple large infrastructure projects in South Australia, including the Gawler Rail Electrification and Northern Connector. He has proven to be an adaptable team member, keen to learn with good attention to detail. He has a great understanding of Steel Installation, OLE Installation, planning and logistics gained during his time on the Gawler project. His skill set includes coordinating and managing access to difficult areas, developing detailed install programs, design, coordinating and running site crews, budget forecasting, material procurement, subcontractor management, safety management and quality control.
Lawson Forster, Project Engineer, Acciona
Lawson is a capable Project Engineer who has worked on various large infrastructure projects in South Australia, including the Northern Connector and Air7000 defence project. He has proven to be an adaptable team member, keen to learn with good attention to detail. He has a great understanding of structural manufacture, planning, logistics and installation gained during his time on the Gawler project. His skill set includes safety management, design, forecasting, programming and construction planning, procurement, subcontractor management and quality control.
Stratton Killis Project Manager, Agonis Group
Stratton has gained valuable experience through working on various projects in both the public and private sectors, including major projects, human resources, state-wide policy and strategic planning and authorising restricted access vehicles to access DITβs road network. Stratton joined Agonis Group in November 2017 and has been assigned to numerous projects, providing rail project engineering support principally in the disciplines of track, overhead wiring and signalling. During his time at Agonis, he has been promoted to SA State manager in recognition of his leadership and technical abilities. Stratton is results-focused, often taking a hands-on role in resolving issues on-site and in the office, with the attitude that βno problem is insurmountable.β
Jennifer Lim, Site Engineer, Acciona
With more than two yearsβ experience working on a brownfield project, Jennifer has been involved in multiple disciplines such as overhead wire foundations, underground services for signalling and overhead wiring. Within each discipline, she has taken part in procurement, design reviews and coordination of the works, demonstrating her abilities to coherently communicate and interface with other disciplines, as well as a multitude of local and overseas suppliers for high-risk components. She has a good working relationship with site crews and has shown an aptitude to work effectively and thoroughly in regard to documentation pertaining to the works.
Matthew Angley, Project Engineer
Matthew Angley is a Project Engineer with over eight yearsβ experience in successfully delivering a variety of civil and structural infrastructure projects across Adelaide and internationally. Throughout these projects, he has developed comprehensive experience in construction, quality assurance and project controls across multiple disciplines, including structures, earthworks, pavements, asphalt, drainage, utilities and rail. He is a strong communicator who is able to lead and effectively manage a team. He has a proven record of effectively planning and delivering civil and structural works with a focus on safety with minimal disruption to the current stakeholders. He has experience in coordinating with multiple stakeholders and clients to successfully deliver projects timely and to a high standard.
