Please join the Railway Technical Society of Australasia (RTSA) WA Chapter for drinks and canapes at the new premises of Engineers Australia in the Perth CBD for our Annual General Meeting.
In commemoration of International Women’s Day, this will be followed by an insightful presentation from Roslyn Stuart (Hitachi Rail, Senior Director Australia), Kyle Mortimer (McConnell Dowell, General Manager of Rail) and Kim Irvine (WSP, Manager Rail Group Capability and Delivery Performance) on what it means to be all-inclusive in the rail industry and its benefits.

About the speakers

Roslyn Stuart
Senior Director Australia (Sales and Projects), Hitachi Rail
Roslyn has more than 20 years’ experience in systems technology and a background in engineering projects and computer science. As a senior director of Hitachi Rail, she believes in using genuine collaboration and inclusion to drive direction and achieve results and has a track record of partnering with clients and teams across the globe to deliver ground-breaking projects such as Rio Tinto’s AutoHaul®.

Kyle Mortimer
General Manager Rail, McConnell Dowell
Kyle is the General Manager of Rail at McConnell Dowell. He is a 28 year veteran of our industry and in that time has held a broad spectrum of roles across the infrastructure sector. Kyle is an active member of the Rail Infrastructure Contractors Executive (RICE) with ARA and is passionate about driving change in our industry – championing diversity and inclusion, and doing everything he can to promote our industry to help attract new talent.

Kim Irvine
Manager, Rail Group Capability and Delivery Performance
A passionate Chartered Engineer and leader who thrives on adopting a collaborative approach in building stakeholder relationships and delivering technical solutions. Kim believes in all-inclusiveness as being a key criterion to building high performance teams. Kim will draw on some of her personal experiences as a female and overseas engineer in the rail sector and share how her approach and outlook has helped her to thrive to get to where she is today.

Michelle is the RTSA WA Chapter Chair and is a mechanical engineer with over 12 years’ experience in the rail industry.
