Join the RTSA VIC/TAS Chapter in person for a site tour to the Bendigo Tramways (BT) Historic Tram Operation and Tram Collection. Bendigo Tramways is a living piece of history that has been entwined with the city’s identity since 1890. Home to Australia’s oldest operating tram depot, its iconic fleet of trams exceed 100 years of age.

Public Transport Options

For those travelling by train catch the 7.39 am Swan Hill train from Southern Cross which gets into Bendigo at 9.55. Attendees will then need to walk down Mitchell Street from the Station to Pall Mall/Charing Cross Tram stop (refer to map) where we will be collected in a Tram and take you for a ride before arriving at the Tram Depot for some lunch and a Depot Tour.  BT will then take the tour back on the Tram to Pall Mall/Charing Cross Tram stop so attendees can walk back to the train station.
