NSW/ACT Chapter Event: Site Visit – Canberra Light Rail Site Tour

Canberra Light Rail Site Tour

This tour will include a presentation by CMET and a walk around of the Operations Control Centre and maintenance facility.

Please note that spaces are strictly limited and exclusively offered to RTSA members, prior to public access – click here to register today, registrations close on Tuesday 25th April!

 

When:

Friday 28 April 2023 12:00-15:00

 

Where:

The core tour will start at Alinga St stop in Civic and conclude at the CMET facility in Mitchell.

There are options to join RTSA representatives after the formal tour concludes, for a trip on the rest of the light rail to Gungahlin, before proceeding back to Civic (arriving approx. 16:15).

 

Schedule:

12:00   Meet at Alinga St. terminus.

12:15   Depart on the CMET service.

12:30   Alight at the Sandford St. stop.

12:45   Arrive CMET Mitchell for presentation and site tour.

14:45   Core tour concludes at CMET Mitchell.

 

Health and safety requirements:

Please note that CMET is a drug and alcohol-free site and that visitors may be randomly selected and breathalysed on their arrival on site. A blood-alcohol concentration of 0.00 is required to be allowed on to site.

Please do not attend the tour if you are feeling unwell.

 

Attire and PPE:

Long sleeve shirts and pants are required, and full PPE must be worn on site: orange hi-vis vest, hard hat or bump hat, capped boots, safety glasses and gloves (carried on).

 

Photography and videography:

We request that no photos or videos are taken during the tour. Unless expressed permission is granted by CMET.

Photographs and/or video of you may be taken at this event by the RTSA or CMET.
