2023 RTSA Award nominations opening 6th February!

Happy new year RTSA members and friends! We are pleased to announce that the first round of 2023 RTSA Awards are opening soon.

2023 Railway Professional of the Year Award

The RTSA Railway Professional of the Year Award is offered to a person above the age of 35 who has made an outstanding contribution to the Railway Industry in Australia or New Zealand.  Nominees must be employed in the railway industry for at least 10 years in Australia or New Zealand.  The award, if made, includes a full registration at the next CORE.  The award was first presented in 2020.

Award nominations will be open from the 6 February until the 26 March 2023.

2023 Individual Achievement Award

Amongst the criteria that will be considered in assessing nominations for this prestigious award are; the overall career achievement of the individual in providing an engineering or technical service to the wider railway community, the nominee’s current career contribution, the degree of autonomy in which the nominee currently operates and the quality and appropriateness of any articles, publications and papers that have been prepared/presented by the nominee.

Award nominations will be open from the 6 February until the 26 March 2023.

2023 Annual Scholarship

The RTSA Annual Scholarship is awarded to a Permanent Resident or Citizen of Australia or New Zealand for study in a rail industry related graduate or post graduate course of study in Australia or New Zealand that commences within 12 months of the scholarship award.

Award nominations will be open from the 1 March until the 25 June 2023.

2023 Graduate Engineer Award

The RTSA Graduate Engineer Award is made to reward railway engineering practitioners in Australia or New Zealand whose working achievements have taken place within four years of the conferral of their university degree.

Award nominations will be open from the 1 March until the 25 June 2023.

2023 Young Railway Engineer Award

The Young Railway Engineer Award is offered annually to reward young professional engineers, technologists and associates in Australia or New Zealand who have reached a demonstrated level of achievement and involvement in any field of railway engineering; who have exhibited technical competence, good character and integrity and who have assisted in developing or improving the attitude of the public, and/or those from within the railway industry, towards railway engineering.

Award nominations will be open from the 1 March until the 25 June 2023.
